2020-08-11Thursday, August 6 afternoon the navigation for Muros was very comfortable and very pleasant with 20 knots from the North, the boat sailed between 9 and 10 knots all the way with GV and genoa, we took very little time to get to the Ria de Muros. We relaxed in the small marina where we were very well received by the port manager who recommended a nice little restaurant for the evening. We were able to dine there without a reservation and also visit the village which is a picturesque fishing port with arcaded streets, narrow alleys and a very lively nightlife.

Friday morning we visited the churches, the alleys and we had the opportunity to buy fresh fish and to go to the market, it was very pleasant.

On Friday afternoon, we left Muros towards the anchorage of San Vicente do Grove where we had an appointment with our friend Aitor and his family. We enjoyed a very pleasant aperitif on board in their company.

On Saturday morning, we got stuck at anchor, plunged into a thick mist which masked the entire horizon. We took the opportunity to cook the large crab bought the day before from the fishmonger and confectioner, a homemade mayonnaise with homemade eggs from Eva, Aitor’s wife, brought us the day before. At noon we tested, it was huge!

In the afternoon, the fog lifted, we visited the Ria de Arousa up to Pobra de Camariñal.

Sunday morning, still a fog “to cut with a knife” we headed for the Cies Islands (in front of the Ria de Vigo). The landscape looks superb but the mist has spoiled the panorama.

On Monday 10 we left Spain to go to Portugal 65 MN up to Leixoes (Porto).
